The Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security (DMGS) provides graduate education to meet current and future national security threats. Three Master of Arts programs (Information Operations, Intelligence, and National Security), as well as our certificate programs, provide the framework through which students can advance themselves academically, personally, and professionally. “Scholar-practitioner” faculty impart unique understandings of real world events, while a strong cadre of adjunct instructors supplement the classroom experience through simulation and presentation.

Daniel Morgan Graduate School Faculty   Expert Faculty

DMGS develops coursework that is enhanced by the professional experiences of professors with extensive and successful careers in national security. There is a 7:1 maximum student to faculty ratio. All DMGS courses are capped at a maximum of 7 students per professor to enhance classroom discussion and relationship between students and faculty.

This provides a great opportunity for DMGS students to work with faculty members to establish relationships they can maintain throughout their graduate and professional careers.

The nation’s capital is the ideal location to attend a graduate school with a focus in national security. As a student at DMGS, you are near the White House, NSA, FBI, CIA, State Department, and Pentagon. DMGS is located on L street, within a short walking distance of the Farragut North metro stop (red line). This access creates a convenient way for those working or interning in D.C. to get back and forth. DMGS’s location also allows for an excellent Distinguished Speaker series at DMGS and networking opportunities.

Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security Washington, DC viewbook   Scholarships

Merit-Based Scholarships are awarded at the time of admission. Please note that there are limited number of Full Scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded by the Admissions Office and decisions are based on a review of the applicant’s entire application portfolio. Prior GPAs are an important, but not exclusive component in the awarding process. No separate “aid application” is required for consideration for merit-based scholarships.
